| Awaiting original catalog description |
| From Phil Edinger: Crepuscule appears in the 1946 [Cayeux catalog], described as follows:"Lilac tawny standards. Pinky blue fallls. A beautiful hardy and floriferous plant. Height 3 ft." It also appears in the Cayeux Chronicle #9, in the list of Rene Cayeux originations: "S. lilac tawny, F. lilac blue." It is listed as 1946 and 1947. In the 1939 Check list there's a Crepuscule: (Verdier 1963) dark blue. In the 1949 CL, the Verdier iris is listed as "extinct" (or at least not in circulation--supposedly) and the Cayeux iris is listed as registered in 1946, introduced in 1947. |
