From Burseen’s The Lab catalog, 2014: CRUNCH, 34", M L. $60.00. The pollen parent of Cow Patty, Maggie Beth is the pod parent of this very different iris. Alas, Maggie Beth is proving to be a very good progenitor of different and imaginative progeny and this crunchy creation is a good example of such offspring as rose purple S are washed purple at their midribs while being finely edged golden brown; majolica F are overlaid rose, have brown washed edges, and dark pansy bursts below big, fat, fuzzy bronze beards, and this distinct creation has nice modern flowers too. Seedling 10-2297A: Maggie Beth X Dallas Done Right (two other siblings from this cross are also being introduced this year. No Fear No Peer is similar but can anyone believe Cuttin ZZZ's is a sib also? And, several more fran this cross are under consideration also) |
