The Bronze Medal of the A.I.S. was awarded to Iris DAMERINE (Gage, 1939), at the GARDENS ON PARADE at the NEW YORK WORLD’S FAIR, May, 1940. The winning stalk was exhibited by Mr. Kenneth D. Smith, Staten Island, N. Y., who received the Medal. (Sunnyside Gardens Catalog 1943, p. 2). |
