From Tell’s Gardens catalog,1962: DARK FURY (W. Luihn) Early-Late 36". (Basin Street x Total Eclipse) Dark blue-black self with self beard. Great width and ruffling, coupled with flaring falls and closed standards, set Dark Fury apart in its color class. Not as "black" as some, but for quality it has no peer. Vigorous grower with fine foilage and low, widely branched stalks. Awarded an H.C.'60, and the Gold Cup for best seedling and an Exhibition Certificate at San Jose show 1961. #59-18 A. $25.00. |

Huge, perfectly formed flowers with broad, thick, heavily ruffled petals and fine velvety finish. Stalks are tall with perfect branching. H.C. 1960. 20.00. |
