'Dark Vintage' (
Charles Applegate, R. 1970). Seedling 151-67D. TB, 40" (102 cm), Early midseason bloom and rebloom. Standards moderate purplish red (Nickerson 5PR 4/10) with slight overall blending of buff; falls deep purplish red (5RP 3/9) with darker, velvety overlay; sometimes has bright violet chimera on petals; gold beard.
