| From Longfield Iris Farms catalog, 1957: DAWN SPRITE. The standards are pinkish buff, ruffled and erect. There is a broad violet flush on the center of each fall, with a mauve-gray edging and golden tan haft that combine to produce a most intriguing blend. The falls are gracefully ruffled and flaring, the flowers large and numerous, the plant vigorous and well branched. An Iris of rare charm and distinction. 34 inches. Midseason-late. $10.00. |
