From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1965: DECEMBER GARNET (Austin '65) E-36". A deep rich garnet red self with bronzy yellow beard and velvety heavy substanced falls. Not a large flower, but fine form and color plus good branching. Here, in addition to its spring bloom, it has favored us with flowers in Nov. & Dec. Good pollen. (Savage X Gold Hill). Sdlg. 126.
