'Deep Dawn' ( Chet Tompkins, R. 1963). TB, 38" (97 cm), Early to late bloom. Color Class-OY5D, Deep orange flushed pink, deeper Falls; red beard. 'Glittering Amber' X 'Dawn Crest'. Fleur de Lis 1964.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog, 1964: DEEP DAWN Tomp.'63 E.L. 36 in. Glittering Amber x Dawn Crest. A large, excellently formed flower with broad sleek finish and ultra heavy substance, this is done in rich tones of Dawn pink and subtle shades of apricot pink set off by a rich full beard of apricot red. A sensational parent and a real beauty. Reblooms readily. 3.00
