Duane Meek, R. 1988). Seedling 331-1-1. TB, 34" (86 cm). Early to midseason bloom. Standards apricot; Falls white ground, 1" edge stitched red lavender, red lavender lines running in a ray pattern from beard; lavender beard tipped mustard; lightly ruffled.

From AIS Bulletin #269 April 1988 Introducing DESERT WINE. (D. Meek '88) TB, 34", E-M. #331-1-1. $25.00. The standards are apricot; the style arms a darker apricot tan. The falls have a white ground with an inch wide heavy plicata border of red-lavender and lines of the same color running in a ray pattern from the beards. The beards are lavender tipped mustard. The whole flower is lightly ruffled with three nicely placed branches and terminal holding 7 to 9 buds. Ensemble X Premonition. D&J Iris Gardens. |
