'Detonator' ( Chet Tompkins, R. 1973). Seedling 69-96A. TB, 35" (89 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Blend of hollyhock red, claret wine, fuchsia rose and royal purple with glowing undertone of molten copper and touch of blended chocolate and cardinal around brown-lemon beard. ('Brigadoon' x 'Ahoy') X (('War Bonnet' x 'Wandering Rainbow') x ('Martel' x 'Royal Tapestry')). Fleur de Lis 1972.
