Awaiting original catalog description |
From Sturtevant Glen Road Iris Garden catalog, 1920: DREAM. The soft clear pink that all producers are striving for, the pure Lilac to Chinese Violet tints of the color chart. It is a solid color with the carrying quality of Pallida Dalmatica rather than the translucent flush that makes Lohengrin so much less effective in the garden picture. 3 ft. 1920 5.00 |
From Bonnewitz catalog, 1926: DREAM (Sturtevant) $2.00 S. lilac-pink; F. slightly darker with some bronze reticulations at haft. Orange beard. This variety is similar to Susan Bliss, and may possibly be better, having a softer tone than that variety. Dream is the best pink Iris originated in America with which we are acquainted and it has also won recognition abroad. We have never been able to fill the demand on this Iris. |
DREAM is a dreamy light pink that everybody is very much fascinated with. [Robert Wayman, "Best Twenty-five Irises", The Flower Grower, Oct 1925: 404. Print.] |
From Campos Altos Iris Garden catalog, 1924: Dream. (Sturtevant). 85 — Not unlike Delicatissima, but nearer pink in color and more crinkled in texture. 3 ft. Each, $2.50. |
