1971, Brown

'Dutch Master' (Opal Brown, R. 1971). Seedling 7-12A15. TB, 38" (97 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards butterscotch (closest to RHS 10A and B), with flush of violet in midrib; falls purple (77A and B), lighter at tip of yellow beard; 1/2" brown border; ruffled. 'Gypsy Lullaby' X 'Amigo's Guitar'. Brown's Sunnyhill 1972. Honorable Mention 1973.

From AIS Bulletin #205 April 1972 Introducing DUTCH MASTER (0. L. Brown '72), TB. Mid. 36 in. Deep butterscotch standards are well ruffled and closed. Wide ruffled falls are rich violet-purple with a 1/2" brown border. Yellow beards. Excellent branching and bud count. HC '71 under #7-23A15. NET $25.00. Brown's Sunnyhill Gardens.
