From AIS Bulletin #248 January 1983 Introducing EDNA'S WISH -TB, M-L, 109 em, Self, #34-8E. Net $35.00. This cross of Starfrost Pink and an Orange Plume sib produced a most outstanding number of orange self and pink plicata seedlings. They are tall, well branched stalks. The 6 x 6" heavily ruffled blooms are outstanding. Edna's Wish is an orange color (29B) with a violet flush. Form is excellent and blooms are long lasting. The perfectly branched, 43" stalks make an outstanding display of large orange plumes in the garden, getting immediate attention. Rich orange beards (31A) add distinctively. This one, I think, will be an excellent parent as well as a garden standout. Gibson Iris Gardens. |
