'English Cottage' (Lloyd Zurbrigg, R. 1976). Seedling# H 90 PPPP. TB, 34" (87 cm), Early bloom and rebloom (August and September in Virginia). Standards white with some very pale plicating of violet; falls white, light violet plicata markings at haft only; near white beard. Seedling# 68-92-Wide: (('Crinkled Ivory' x 'Autumn Sensation') x 'Grand Baroque') X 'Cross Stitch'. Avonbank 1976.

From AIS Bulletin #221 April 1976: ENGLISH COTTAGE. A half-sister to NEEDLECRAFT, it is very similar in coloring but plainer in form and closer to violet than blue in the markings. Remontant in early September here. Fragrant. $5.00. Avonbank Iris Gardens.
