1970, Nelson

'Fairlight' (Jeannette Nelson, R. 1969). Seedling# 65-62-1. TB, 38" (97 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Color Class-Y1Lcm, Standards canary yellow (Wilson 2/2); falls edged canary yellow (2/3) with small white area, lacy; yellow beard. 'August Moon' X 'Alaskan Crown'. Cooley's Gardens 1970.

FAIRLIGHT (J. Nelson, 70) VL. 36" Each $25.00. Our picture on the front cover is an excellent likeness of this frilly, frothy, glittering rich gold and creamy white beauty. The standards, style arms and beard are all a uniform deep gold, as is the underside of the falls. These are creamy white in the center and are rimmed with a band of rich yellow. The upright, closed standards and ruffled flaring falls complete this gorgeous creation. No. 65-62-1. [Cooley's Iris, 1970].
