From AIS Bulletin #179, January 1966. Introducing FALL FAVOR (McGarvey 1965) 36" E&Re. Blooms early in the regular TB season and again in September. Fall Favor is one of the New York-State Fair-Irises (Irises developed for exhibition in the AIS Region #2 booth at the annual exposition which is held in Syracuse, New York, during the week before Labor Day). This is a cold region rebloomer which has bloomed and rebloomed consistenly in Oswego, New York, since 1960. It has also performed very well in Greenvale, New York. 62-Y-6: (55-Y-6 X Fall Primrose). The pod parent came from Prairie Sunset X 53-P-l. This plant has an attractive, lightly ruffled, clear yellow flower. The falls are semi-flaring and carry a small white blaze in the center to bring brightness to the flower. NET $20.00. Old Brook Gardens. |
