1994, Gatty

'Finalist' (Joseph Gatty by Keith Keppel, R. 1993). Seedling# S38-1. TB, height 35" (89 cm). Late bloom. Standards lavender grey (M&P 43-A-2) flushed greenish yellow (11-F-1) to pineapple (11-J-2); falls rubient (55-L-9) to plum (47-J-9) blend, small cotinga purple (43-L-10) blaze, narrow wistaria lavender (41-D-7) edge; beards bronze yellow (11-L-9) tipped lavender; ruffled. 'Karen' X seedling# Q39-1: ('Tomorrow's Child' x seedling# K41-1: ('Show Biz' x 'Villain')). Keppel 1994. Honorable Mention 1996.

From AIS Bulletin #292 January 1994 Introducing FINALIST (Gatty) TB L 35" (Karen X (Tomorrow's Child x (Show Biz x Villain))). Grey-lavender standards flushed pineapple; falls rich ruby to plum, narrowly edged lavender, with small purple blaze. Light ruffles, good branching. #S38-1. $35.00. Keith Keppel.
