'Flamboyance' (Chet Tompkins, R. 1952). EC, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Color Class-R5, TB-onco. Blend, mulberry-violet flushed rose, chocolate-brown haft. Seedling#: ('Sonatine' x ('Veishea' x 'Copper River')) X 'Mulberry Rose'. Fleur de Lis 1952.

From Wallace Iris Gardens catalog 1955: FLAMBOYANCE (Tompkins '52) M. 36 in. (Sonatine x Veishea x Copper River) x (Mulberry Rose). Huge ruffled, broad mulberry, violet and rose. $5.00.
From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: FLAMBOYANCE (Tomp. 1952) M. 36 in. (Sonatine x (Veishea x Copper River)) x Mulberry Rose. A gigantic iris done in glowing tones of mulberry, violet and rich rose. The petals are very broad and have an extra heavy, leathery like substance and a very lacy, crimped edge.
