From Aitken’s Salmon Creek Garden, 2013: FLAMING LAVA (Aitken '13) TB, 32" (81 cm) M . Its shorter stature and 2 or 3 branches belies its border bearded parentage. Falls are a smooth intense orange deepening at the haft. Beards are intensely saturated fiery lava orange. Standards and falls are wide and lightly ruffled with picoteed edges. Standards and styles are lighter orange. Standards havea dramatic burgundy wash rising from the midribs. There is rebloom in the pedigree but it has not expressed its elf so far.
