VL. 42 in. (Mountain Music x Flag Ship). This one has really pleased us. Not only has it seemed to be tops in its class to us, it has impressed visitors just as much as it has us. It has extra large size, very broad and heavily substanced petals and perfection of form with wide, ruffled, perfectly domed standards and very broad, heavily ruffled, semi-flaring falls. A beautifully clean self of glossy violet blue, the heavily substanced flowers have a sleek, luxuriantly rich finish which is further accented by a very wide, thick beard of brilliant royal violet. The flowers are perfectly placed on beautiful stalks, strong, tall and even more accurately branched than those of its parent, Mountain Music. A truly "Elegant" iris. No. 61-135. H.C. 1963. Net 25.00 | | FLEET ADMIRAL (Tompkins '64) A fine dark blue-violet flower, unusually large, beautifully formed, with lots of flare and nicely rumed. Stalks are tall and strong and the branching is good. One we are proud to grow.
