'Flower Note' (Opal Brown, R. 1980). Seedling# 73-11C5. TB, 29" (74 cm), Midseason bloom. Ruffled and laced orient pink (RHS 36B); fire red (33B) beard. 'Cherry Accent' X 'Instant Charm'. Brown's Sunnyhill Gardens 1980.

From AIS Bulletin #237 April 1980 Introducing FLOWER NOTE (O. Brown '80). TB, 29", M. Wide-petaled Orient pink with heavy substance and velvety texture. Ruffled and frilled. Closed, rounded standards and flaring falls. Fire red beards. 7 blooms. Many admirers in the Melrose Garden during the '78 Convention. HC '78 under #73-11C5. (Cherry Accent X Instant Charm). $25.00. Brown's Sunnyhill Gardens.
From Mid-America catalog 1981: FLOWER NOTE - (0. Brown 80). It may be a little on the short side, but who wants an 8 foot ballerina! Bright orient pink flowers dance and whirl on nicely branched stalks. Plant vigor is equal to its parent Instant Charm.
