From Longfield Iris Farm catalog, 1957: FLYING HIGH (Waters #MB-53 (Cahokia x Keene Valley). H. C, A.I.S. 1956. A striking Iris of very clear medium blue — bluer than Pierre Menard. The very broad flaring almost horizontal falls with contrasting white beards make this a most distinct Iris. The flowers are large, beautifully ruffled, of heavy substance. Strong stalks are 36-38 inches tall. $20.00. |
