'For Colleen' (Margaret Jenkins, R. 2008). Seedling# 9/9-1. TB, 33" (85 cm), Very very early bloom. Standards lemon; style arms yellow; falls lemon, deeper at hafts, paler beneath citron beards; spicy fragrance. Seedling# 7/5-1: (seedling# 3/19-1: (('Solano' x 'Persian Berry') x 'White Lightning') x 'Plateau') X 'Social Event'.

From Impressive Irises catalog, 2008/09: FOR COLLEEN (Jenkins 08) VE-M 85cm $20. I asked Marg to register this one, because quite simply it is the longest blooming early yellow I’ve ever seen. It starts with the very early irises and just keeps going. It also is an excellent grower. Very clear bright yellow, it has a large white area on the falls and the yellow beards are tipped tangerine on the upper part. Nice deep ruffling.
