| FRANCES DOUGLAS —(Gage, 1940), (Allumeuse X Silvanus). A fine blend of great substance and noble carriage. The standards are a rich blending of golden tan and lavender-blue (deep Vinaceous Lavender), and the wide flaring falls are of Petunia Violet, widely edged with golden amber. The beard is pale Lemon Yellow. The many flowers are carried on a well-branch 32- inch stalk. Pronounced by judges as the most outstanding of my large planting of fine blends. Midseason. $15.00 (Sunnyside Gardens, 1940), Original Catalog Description. |
