1983, Hamblen

'Frances Gaulter' (Melba Hamblen, R. 1982). Seedling# H76-26C. TB, 34" (86 cm). Late midseason bloom. Standards pink (RHS 36A); falls laced, ruffled edges of violet (84A), lightening toward hafts; tangerine red (28A) beard. 'Sugarplum Fairy' X 'Heavenly Harmony'. Mission Bell Gardens 1983. High Commendation 1982; Honorable Mention 1985.

From AIS Bulletin #248 January 1983 Introducing FRANCES GAULTER. 34", ML. Vivacious, feminine, desirable-possessing many of the fine qualities of the charming lady for whom it was named. Full ruffled glowing pink standards (RHS 36A). Flaring, horizontal falls with heavily ruffled and laced rims of violet (84A) lightening toward centers. Bright tangerine-red beards (28A). Excellent branching, many buds. (Sugarplum Fairy X Heavenly Harmony). HC '82. #H76-26C. Net $25.00. Mission Bell Gardens.
