From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: FRANCES KENT (DeForest 1951) M. 38 in. (From tangerine pink sdlgs.). A lovely iris that reminds one of a pink toned Starshine. The flowers are of good size and delightfully ruffled. Standards are deep cream slightly flushed pink andthe falls are icy ivory with the barest tint of pink and a pink beard . A. M. 1954. 5.00.
From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1957: FRANCES KENT (De Forest 1951) Each 3.00. A flower that has personality and one of the loveliest of the newer iris that bears the mark of distinction. Standards of chartreuse cream hue with just a flush of pink rise over the somewhat lighter colored falls that flare in almost horizontal fashion, cradling a pinkish orange beard. Definitely outstanding. 3 feet. HM 1952.
