'Frost And Flame' (David Hall, R. 1956). Seedling 54-01. TB, 36" (91 cm). Early bloom. White self, red beard. Seedling 52-41 x seedling 52-02. Cooley 1957. Honorable Mention 1957; Judges' Choice 1957, 1958; Award of Merit 1959.

From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1965: FROST and FLAME (Hall '57) EM-38". Topped Judges' Choice list in '58, was at top of AM list in '59. A snow-white self of fine quality, deep tangerine beard. Flowers heavy substanced, beautifully poised on tall stems. Striking beauty. Pollen fertile. Noteworthy descendant; Kiss of Fire. Regularly $1.50; on $10 order $1.20; on $25 order 95c.
From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1964: FROST AND FLAME (Hall 1957) Each 3.00. Considered by most experts as the finest frosty-white highlighted by a vivid tangerine beard. Sturdy well branched stems and relatively tall. 44 inches. HM 1957. Picture on front cover.
