From Maple Valley Gardens catalog, 1949: FROSTY BLUE (W.-K. 1941) No. 3933 (SHINING WATERS X GLORIOLE) Midseason, 38 inches. Clear; light blue self with a frosty shimmer. Large, well formed flowers on an exceptionally well branched stalk. Very large, vigorous plants, hardy and prolific of bloom and increase. R. 87, 1943. $1.50.
