'Fuji's Mantle' (
Schreiner, R. 1966). Seedling# T 78-C. TB, 35" (89 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Standards pure white; falls starting pure white at haft and beard, slowly yielding to brush strokes light blue, eventually becoming wash of light blue at edge.

In a color class alone is FUJI'S MANTLE. This iris caused some concern in this area when it was first introduced, because the plant looked unhealthy in fall and winter. Every spring it springs up and blooms those lovely white flowers with the blue wash on the falls, and its appearance at other times is forgiven. [Mullin, Ron (1971).
