From Melrose Gardens catalog 1976: FULL HOUSE (Duane Meek '76) M 32" Sdg. 66-95-6: (Flaming Heart x Mauve Magic) X self. A Novelty Shoppe introduction. Have you ever been pulled aside to be shown an iris with an odd number of petals? - who hasn't? There is a fascination in this phenomenon for many people, but the characteristic is usually expressed in a single flower and only occasionally. BUT HEAR! Here is an iris that has five standards and five falls almost always. And to accentuate that fact, five blazing bush beards set afire the orange-apricot color of the petals. There is even lace crimping the ends of ail ten of these generous petals. NET 15.00. |
