From Milliken Iris Gardens catalog, 1955: GENE WILD (Craig)-H.M., A.I.S. '54. Added to perfection of form and branching, is the lavish coloring of this Fancy. The network and blending of rosy red covers the ground of warm white which comes through more on the central portions of the falls. $12.50.
From 1952 Tom Craig catalog: GENE WILD (Craig). A charming fancy plicata derived from Rich Raiment x Joseph's Mantle. Its rosy color is novel and its form and stem perfect. $20.00
From 1958 Melrose Gardens catalog: GENE WILD (Craig '52) 36" one of the greatest achievements in the Fancy plicata class. Rose purple laced over a cream ground and the flower is perfectly formed, domed and flaring. $6.00
