'Gentle Lady' (John Ohl, R. 1958). TB, 40" (102 cm), Late midseason bloom. Color Class-Y4, Standards pale lemon-buff, falls light orchid-pink. 'At Dawning' x ('Amigo' x ('Brown Betty' x'Mauna Loa'))) X Sass white seedling. El Dorado, Melrose 1959.

From AIS Bulletin #153, April 1959: Introducing GENTLE LADY (John Ohl) 36", A silk and satin portrait of a very genteel lady. Standards are flesh cream, blushed pink. Falls further blended with orchid and lavender, but so ethereally pastel as though dusted daintily with a powder puff. Net $15.00. Melrose Gardens.
