Standards white ground with all over marking of violine violet (M&P 42-I-10); falls white, 3/8" edging of violine; blue-white beard, yellow in throat. Seedling# 67-3A: ('Vaudeville' x 'Radiant Apogee') X 'Charmed Circle'. Keppel 1977. High Commendation 1975; Honorable Mention 1978; Favorite Guest Iris 1979; Award of Merit 1980.

• TB Gentle Rain was blooming at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, zone 4b, approximately May 25 - June 4, in 2017. I didn't notice any Purple Based Foliage at the base of the leaves, but the spathes did have purple on them. -- HollyJohnson2017 -04-01 - 24 Aug 2017
