'Gentle Rain' (Keith Keppel, R. 1976). Seedling# 70-56A. TB, 36" (91 cm). Early midseason bloom. Standards white ground with all over marking of violine violet (M&P 42-I-10); falls white, 3/8" edging of violine; blue-white beard, yellow in throat. Seedling# 67-3A: ('Vaudeville' x 'Radiant Apogee') X 'Charmed Circle'. Keppel 1977.

• TB Gentle Rain was blooming at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, zone 4b, approximately May 25 - June 4, in 2017. I didn't notice any Purple Based Foliage at the base of the leaves, but the spathes did have purple on them. -- HollyJohnson2017-04-01 - 24 Aug 2017
