From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: GENTLE STAR (Tompkins '60) M.L. 36 in. (Limelight x Flamingo Bay sib.) x Chansonette x Limelight). A very large, broad petaled flower with very heavy substance and gleaming leathery finish. It is an opaque shade of pale creamy lemon which deepens around the lacy edges of the petals and around the rich lemon beard. Strong well branched stalks from large husky, large foliaged rhizomes. 7.50. |
