From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog, 1955: Gersdorff-Sass Hybrid. VE. 28". The most unusual and stunning of all, colored like Dresden china. A combination not duplicated even in the multitude of spring bloomers. S smooth parchment, flushed mulberry; F mulberry-pink, overlaid on a parchment ground and with a most striking lemon-yellow haft, beard and style crests. Fine large flowers. $1.00
From Mrs. Henry L. Shields, El Paso, TX: Gersdorff-Sass Hybrid is in bloom now, November 8. There are 3 bloom stalks with a total of 13 buds and I'm enchanted with the "difference" of the coloring. It does speak well for your stock.
