Seedling# R 13-2 (tracing to 'Pink Cameo', 'Desert Song', 'Peach Meringue' x 'Glittering Amber') X 'Celestial Glory'. Schreiner 1969. Honorable Mention 1970.

| From Schreiner’s catalog, 1969: GLAZED ORANGE (Schreiner 1969) E. 35" $25.00. This new iris is a "smash hit" on first sight. Orange crush in color with sunburst shadings, it is a luscious, bright color. Enchanting as if from Aladdin's lamp, singing with warmth and charm. GLAZED ORANGE is a beauty. Possesses vigorous habit, ideal flower form, blooms well placed on branched stems. Its color-that mellifluous color-is accurately reproduced in our illustration on page 5. It is a bewitching tangy, persimmon-apricot-orange. The color is most appealing. Sdlg. #Yl421-A. |
