From AIS Bulletin #229 Spring 1978 Introducing GRANDMA'S TRIMDRESS (Niswonger '78). 40-73: Grandma's Springdress X Butterscotch Trim. TB, 33" (84 em), M, LRV/LRV9-5Yy. Judy Young of Paris, Texas, suggested this name since this is an improved Grandma's Springdress and the fact that it is the lavender color of the dresses Grandmas used to wear. The golden hafts and gold beard give the impression of a trim of golden sash. A different color for your garden. HC 1977. $25.00. Cape Iris. |
From Cape Iris Gardens catalog, 1980: GRANDMA'S TRIMDRESS (Niswonger'78) Sdlg. 40-73: Grandma's Springdress X Butterscotch Trim. TB, 33", Mid., LRV/LRV9-5Yy, HC'77, HM'80. The spring color of lavender dresses that Grandma used to wear, trimmed with a golden sash (golden hafts and beard) makes this an unusual color for your iris garden. It's larger than Grandma's Springdress with a little more lace. $12.50 |
