(TB) 'Gypsy'
1944, Kleinsorge
'Gypsy' (
Rudolph Kleinsorge R. 1944). TB. Midseason bloom. Color Class S4M.
'Mexico' x
'Tobacco Road'. Honorable Mention 1945.
From Cooley's Gardens catalog for 1944: "Coppery gold standards and falls of solid chestnut-brown without any red or even near red. A very late iris that brings something new into the variegata field. There is such a contrast to the standards and falls, the latter decidedly rounded and uniformly brown without haft markings, that it commands immediate attention in the garden. Very tall, almost four feet, with extra fine branching and a wealth of large flowers." (sldg #245 x E. B. Williamson). Honorable Mention 1945
