'Halfway To Heaven' (O. David Niswonger, R. 1995). Seedling# 45-92. TB, 34" (86 cm), Midseason bloom. Blue pink self; beards tangerine, tipped blue. 'Pink Blue Genes' X 'Fontaine'. Cape Iris 1996. High Commendation 1996, Honorable Mention 1998; Award of Merit 2002.

From AIS Bulletin #301 April 1996 Introducing HALFWAY TO HEAVEN (Niswonger '96) Sdlg. 45-92: Pink Blue Genes X Hamblen H8l54A: (((H74-68B x Jack R. Oee) x (H74-68B x H74-70)) x Song of Norway). TB, 34" (86 cm), M. This blue-pink self has one-third of the front part of the beard blue and the rest is tangerine. This large wide-hafted tall bearded is very vigorous with nice branching and a good breeder for pinks with blue beards. It received an EC in '93 at Region 18's seedling show. It was named by Polly Chism from Festus, MO. $35.00. Cape Iris.
