NOTE: Transfer of name from Mrs. Whiting's 1942 seedling registration ('Golden Hind' x 'Golden Spike'). Not introduced and designated obsolete.

From Maple Valley Iris Garden catalog, 1944: HARVEST MOON—4121 (Midwest Gem x Prairie Sunset) M. 34 in. This iris is very similar in coloring to Mellowglow, not quite as pink and a bit more orange. The garden effect is much the same and We have been urged to introduce it so that those who have not been able to get Mellowglow may have this glorious color in their gardens. A fairly large stock permits a moderate introductory price. $5.00.
