'Helen Keller' (Georgia Hinkle, R. 1961). Seedling# N-43-2. TB, Midseason bloom. Color Class-B1, Sea blue self, cream beard. Involving 'Zara', 'Regina Maria', 'Mary McClellan' . Wild 1962.

From AIS Bulletin #165, April 1962. Introducing HELEN KELLER (Georgia Hinkle, 1962) N-43-2 Each $25.00 net. M. 38 in. Very large well proportioned flower of medium blue (Sea Blue, 043/3, Wilson). Full closed standards, round very full near horizontal-flaring falls, complete self including beard. 'Pleated' ruffling around standards and falls, three inch touching hafts. Strong sturdy stalks, three branches and terminal. Nonfading flowers last five days in full sun. Fertile both ways. Limited stock. H.C. 1961. Parentage: L-4-1 (Sdlg. involving Zara, Regina Maria, Mary McClellan) X Sib. Gilbert Wild.
