From AIS Bulletin #229, Spring 1978 Introducing HOMECOMING QUEEN (Sexton '78). M, 36". (Moon River x Beauty Secret) X sib to Christening Party. A rich copper-rose self with a carrot orange beard. Large-form flowers with heavy substance. Closed stands and flaring falls. The stalks are well branched with nine or more blooms per stalk. Sdlg. 75-71. $25.00. Sexton's Iris Garden.
From Mid-America catalog 1981: HOMECOMING QUEEN (Sexton 78), This one lives up to its name! Like one of its parents, Moon River, she has tall, strong, well branched stalks. The large flowers are luxurious copper rose complimented by red orange beards. Heavy lace all round makes this one special.
