2004, Black

'In Living Color' (Paul Black, R. 2003). Seedling I53C. TB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards bright medium yellow; style arms medium yellow gold; falls with small gold patch either side of bright gold beard, blending to plum on haft, then progressively blending outward to medium violet, violet tan, with narrow gilt gold marginal band, and short blue line below beard; ruffled; pronounced musky fragrance. Seedling F154A: (seedling C52E: ('Witches' Sabbath' x 'In Town') x 'Flying Carpet') X seedling D61A: ('Skyblaze' x 'Tom Johnson'). Mid-America 2004. Honorable Mention 2006; Award of Merit 2009.
