From AIS Bulletin #177, April 1965. Introducing IRISH LULLABY (Moldovan) L. 36" $25.00 net. Sdlg. 60-28 (Court Ballet x sib). Extra heavy lacing and ruffling highlight this very beautiful, wide petalled, tangerine bearded pink self. The large, near horizontal falled flowers are produced on sturdy well-branched stems. A healthy grower producing large plants. HC '62. Moldovan's Gardens.
IRISH LULLABY (Moldovan '65) Superb in its home garden, this lives up to its billing. A true pink that has exceptional depth of color; is heavily laced and beautifully formed. The flowers are very large with excellent substance and are carried on well-branched strong stems. This iris is unusually floriferous and would seem to have most excellent growth characteristics. [Ralph and Helen Lewis, “Iris from the Carolinas to Iowa and Ohio,” Bulletin of the American Iris Society, No. 179 (October 1965): 92.]
