From Sturtevant Glen Road Iris Garden catalog, 1920: JENNETT DEAN —Mrs. Dean is well and pleasantly known to all iris growers; we are sure that others will find this seedling as unusual in quality as we have found her ever ready, helpful criticism and advice. The glistening Pale Mauve tint, the very pointed cone of the standards, the texture noticeably creped, and the charming lines of the falls with their flaring tips, all combine to form a flower of largest size, perfect in shape and tone. 33 in. 1919
From Indian Spring Farms catalog, 1927: JENNETT DEAN (Sturtevant 1920). Deliciously fragrant blossoms of soft, iridescent lavender-violet. A very large flower with flaring falls; stalk low and widely branched. Over 36 inches. $5.00 each.
