(TB) 'Johnny G'

1983, Zurbrigg

'Johnny G' (Lloyd Zurbrigg, registered 1983). Seedling P 58. TB, height 35" (88 cm), mid season bloom and rebloom (Sept-Oct in VA). Standards white; falls light yellow; yellow beard. 'October Sun' X 'Earl'. Avonbank Gardens 1983.

From Avonbank Bank Gardens catalog for 1984: "This is my best yellow amoena to date, very clean in its contrast of white standards and primrose yellow falls. The branching is also very good. It is fertile either way. It was the only rebloomer and the best flower in its cross of some 130 plants, a welcome and unusual combination. (Named for John William Grossman of Ft. Pearce, Florida)."
