From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1963: KARACHI (Schreiner '58) ML-35". This is, indeed, one of our "conversation pieces." Its coloring is rich, deep & unusual. While technically a plicata, it is so deeply colored as to be almost solid dark glistening red-purple except for a large bold flash of white in center of falls. As richly toned as an oriental rug. HM'58, RU-JC'59. Port Wine X Bazaar. Regularly $5.00; on $10 order $2.95; on $25 order $1.95. |
