From Bay View Gardens catalog,1991: KATMANDU, 40 inches, mid to late season. $35.00. As exotic as its namesake, this is the first of the many exotic departures that the orange line is producing. The standards are red-orange and the falls are a bright yellow-orange with a decided green cast, and all of this is topped off with a burnt tangerine beard! The blooms are large with deep ruffling. Tall stems with good branching and bud count. Truly unique and splendid. No. 85-69R:(Esmeralda sib X Guadalajara), EC '89. |
