From Fairmount Gardens catalog, 1946: KEARSARGE (Graves 1946) M. L. A light lavender blue with the shining freshness of morning light. Large flowers with the coloring shading more to lavender and not as light in tone as Helen McGregor. The highly domed standards are broad and full, the falls are arched and flaring with very firm texture. Both standards and falls have a distinct silver edging that adds to the glistening sheen that envelops the whole flower. Tall and stately, the bloom are beautifully poised on widely branched stalks. 42 in. $15.00. |
